Lenny LeBlanc – Above all

Above All

This has been one of my favourite songs we sing in Celebrate Recovery.

God is KING and LORD over all the earth…we just need to remeber that He alos wants to be Lord of our lives at all times.

Had a wonderful day today, spent my afternoon with a very special woman of God…My Pastors wife. She is a loving, sacrificing and giving woman who desires to see women mature and grow in the things of God and reach their destiny in Him.

We shared, we prayed, we laughed and most of all we had fellowship that was encouraging and inspring because the spirit of God dwelt among us..Thank You Lord for a wonderful day…and everything that has happened in it.

I LOVE YOU LORD!

Wednesday..a day of reflection

Been feeling rather miserable with myself recently. I know why, partly but that will have to remain between myself and the Lord.

Otherwise I think I am in a bit of a quandry….anyways I came across this written by Anne Ortland, an author who I had read some of her stuff years and years ago….

O Lord Jesus, You know how cut off and lonely I’ve been feeling. Forgive me, Lord! I was acting like an atheist!

But now I come near to You, and according to Your promise in James 4:8, You have come near to me.

Lord, Psalm 16:8 says that in Your presence is fullness of joy! Then—

“I delight to sit in [your] shade,
and [your] fruit is sweet to my taste”

(Song of Solomon 2:3).

                                               Amen.

Strong are the walls around me
That hold me all the day,
But they who thus have bound me
Cannot keep God away.
My very prison walls are dear
Because the God I love is here.

They know, who thus oppress me
‘Tis hard to be alone,
But know not, One can bless me
Who comes through bars and stone:
He makes my dungeon’s darkness bright
And fills my bosom with delight.

—Madame Jeanne Guyon (1648-1717),
written when she was in solitary confinement
because of her Christian faith,
in a prison in France

Isn’t that just so beautiful? I was ministered to by that writing and feel so humble before God this morning.

You who have no longer a mother to love you,
and yet crave for love,
God will be as a mother.
You who have no brother to help you,
and have so much need of support,
God will be your brother.
You who have no friends to comfort you,
and stand so much in need of consolation,
God will be your friend.

—Gold Dust,
a little centuries-old book
of unknown origin

That drew tears from my eyes…

I am going to sit down now and read and enjoy some of God’s awesome presence….

Thank You Jesus

JESUS TAKE ME AS I AM

Words & Music: Dave Bryant

Jesus take me as I am,
I can come no other way.
Take me deeper into You,
Make my flesh life melt away.
Make me like a precious stone,
Crystal clear and finely honed.
Light of Jesus shining through,
Giving glory back to You.

I feel rather humbled today.

God in His divine mercy and Grace has shown me how much He loves me and how much He has given me in ways I am only just being able to grasp hold of.

I had an opportunity given me by another brother in Christ who lives 300 miles away to chat to and encourage another sister who he had met quite by chance and who needed to know that there was someone who understands….

NOW that IS God, no one can make that happen, and my God chose me…and I feel really humbled in my present human state.

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie,
nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?

I just want to encourage you who may be feeling God is a million miles away that He is right besides you, he hears every cry, every hurt and is only a prayer away, so talk to Him. Cast all those cares and heavy loads His way…and look forward to a better day tomorrow.

Praying for you.

Father’s Day

face7.jpg

Tomorrow, (sunday) is the day in which we honor our fathers’.

For me, personally it is tinged with sadness because I lost my dear, precious  father to a sudden illness in 1998. After 3 months of suffering, he left this world to be with Our Heavenly Father. Leaving me behind was breaking his heart, I saw that as he lay in the hospital bed and the tears streamed down his face as he listened to me tell him how much I loved him and would miss him. I knew he was off to a better place because my Pastor led him to the Lord as he lay in that  bed, unable to speak or move…He listened and blinked his eyes in acceptance of Jesus!!

I will celebrate the day with my husband tho, we have children that will bring him gifts and make a fuss for the day. And I will honor him as my wonderful husband and FATHER TO OUR CHILDREN.

I thank God that He is always with us and promises never to leave us..

F aithful!“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering
(for he is faithful that promised)
(Hebrews 10:23 KJV).”

A lways there!

“…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee
(Hebrews 13:5 KJV).”

T rustworthy!

“…there hath not failed one word of all his good promises…
(1 Kings 8:56 KJV).”

H onoring!

“If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be;
if any man serve me, him will my Father honor
(John 12:26 KJV).”

E ver-loving!

“…I have loved thee with an everlasting love;
therefore, with lovingkindness have I drawn thee
(Jeremiah 31:3 KJV).”

R ighteous!

“The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works
(Psalm 145:17 KJV).”

S upportive!

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee. Be no dismayed; for I am thy God.
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee
with the right hand of my righteousness
(Isaiah 41:10 KJV).”

Dads are not perfect, and you may carry on your shoulders and in your heart a world of hurts. I have good news for you! You need carry them no more. For your Heavenly Father who loved the world SO much that He gave us His only Son waits to take YOUR world of hurts and make it His own; to give you new hope and a new beginning. He is your HEAVENLY Father. Your love and esteem now comes from Him. Receive it THIS day–and have the best Father’s Day in the WORLD!!

Watch this movie, am sure you have seen it before but it is so beautiful….

I Serve A Mighty, Awesome God

I am still floating after spending a weekend with 25 of my sisters in church at a weekend retreat up in Grange-Over-Sands.( near The Lake district)

My pastors wife has wanted to do this retreat since they came over from the States 16 years ago…so we were definitely in for a special time!!

The whole weekend has been so awesome. The theme was ‘The Bride of Christ’ and we were all touched by the Lord in so many ways, some of us same way, some in different ways. On the Sunday we had a particularly special time. She spoke on us being married to Christ, she ahd brought in her original wedding dress and had made each of us , all25 of us, a handmade bouquet of white roses..

We were all touched by the Holy Spirit.

One sister spoke on Intimacy with Christ and it was so challenging, beautiful and inspiring. Am still floating and in awe at the wonder of my God…

I rededicated my life back to Him as did everyone really and we are changed forever..never will be the same again!!

The Voice of The Master

Wishing to encourage her young son’s progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her.  Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through a door marked …

                      NO ADMITTANCE

When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing. Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage.
In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out

“Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy’s ear, “Don’t quit … Keep playing.”  Then leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling in the bass part.  Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child and he added a running obbligato.
Together, the old master and the young novice transformed a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience.  The audience was mesmerized.
That is the way it is with our Heavenly Father.  What we accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy.  We try our best, but the results aren’t exactly graceful flowing music.
But … with the hand of the Master, our life’s work truly can be beautiful.

Next time you set out to accomplish great feats, listen carefully.  You can hear the voice of the Master whispering in your ear, “Don’t quit … Keep playing”  Feel His loving arms around you.  Know that His strong hands are there helping you turn your feeble attempts into true masterpieces. Remember …
God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called!
